Once the Safari is over, you will then proceed to Zanzibar for a chance to enjoy five nights on the east African coast at one of the best resorts that the island has to offer.
4th August – Arrive Nairobi at 14:45 hours. You will be met at Jomo Kenyatta international airport on arrival by our representative for your transfer to THE STANLEY HOTEL for overnight. Rest of the evening at leisure after your international flight.
5th August – Depart from Nairobi: Early morning breakfast, followed by a short visit to KAREN BLIXEN MUSEUM, dedicated to the author of Out of Africa. There after proceed to the GIRAFFE CENTER, a non-profit organization focused on saving the Rothschild’s giraffe. Here you will learn more about the Giraffe and get the chance to feed them. You will enjoy an early lunch and there after depart for the Mount Kenya region arriving early afternoon in good time for a rest and enjoy the view at Mountain Lodge. Dinner and over night at Serena Mountain Lodge.

6th August – Depart For Sweet Waters: After breakfast at 8:00 am, depart from mountain lodge and drive southwards towards the Mount Kenya region to Sweet Waters Serena. This is home of the chimps among other animal species. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Sweet Waters Serena. The lodge is a sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweet Waters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and safari luxury.
The Camp is Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, the area is host to all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species Dinner and overnight at Sweet Waters Serena Camp.
7th and 8th August – Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park – Early morning breakfast followed by your departure at 7:30 hours Lake Nakuru National Park. Game drive enroute arriving in time for Lunch at your lodge. Afternoon at leisure, followed by an evening game drive at the lake to view the thousands of bird among other species. Situated in the heart of Kenya’s rift valley is Africa’s most famous Soda Lake. The park boasts one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles, with over 450 species of birds and also a sanctuary to the greatly endangered black rhino. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Sarova Lion Hill game Lodge is nestled along the lion hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the lake and picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. Early morning breakfast followed by morning and afternoon game drives at Lake Nakuru national park. Lunch will be served at your camp followed by time at leisure, afternoon game drive returning to your camp in time for evening tea, dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru.
9th August – Depart for Masai Mara game reserve – Early morning breakfast and later depart for Masai Mara game reserve with game drives enroute. Arrive at your lodge in good time for Lunch, afternoon at leisure and later followed by a late evening game drive returning in time for Dinner and overnight at your Mara Sarova Lodge. Sarova Mara Game Camp offers spacious luxurious “tents” attractively constructed in light beige canvas with large “windows”, wooden flooring and a permanent roof. All tents are built with spectacular views. Large wooden decks with a comfortable day bed, chairs and table offer a tranquil and relaxing retreat while you listen to the natural sounds of nature. The Camp emphasis is on tasteful comfort with a smooth blend into the beautiful nature that makes the Mara. Sarova Mara Game Camp is located in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in South West Kenya. The Camp is uniquely laid out over the sprawling grounds that include rolling manicured greens, a virtual mini forest of indigenous shrubs and exotic trees, a large pond stocked with fish, mini bird sanctuary and an authentic Maasai village adjoining the Camp. 10th August – Full Day in Masai Mara – Dawn, morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara national reserve, Kenya’s best and most scientific game park. At the northern extremity of the unique Serengeti ecosystem, blessed with permanent water supply, the Masai Mara has a thriving permanent population of plains game. Of the hunters “big five” elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard are plentiful, while even the much rarer rhino might come out of the thicket for you. Hyenas are plentiful and the cheetah, a 60 miles per hour day time hunter, is often seen. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara game Camp.
11th August – Depart for Nairobi: Early morning game drive, in search of the earlier missed action and later followed by a late breakfast. After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with game drives enroute arriving late afternoon. Overnight at The Stanley Sarova Hotel.
12th August – Depart from Nairobi to Amboseli. Early morning breakfast and there after followed by your drive to Amboseli national park for your special cultural experience at a Masai Village. There will be optional stops enroute to Kakuta village for your cultural visit at with the Murrueshi community. On arrival you will be met by the village representative followed with an afternoon at leisure with light activities and getting to know the Masai culture. Over night at the village. You will be staying at the Masai Simba Camp located in the center of several villages. The camp is a historical site formerly used by Maasai warriors for their warrior training. It has been made accessible for participants to the Masai intercultural Exchange Program. The camp has a combination of tents and cottages with moderate conveniences such as beds, mosquito nets, lighting (powered with solar panels), flash toilets, and hot water. Each cottage or tent is spacious and enjoys total privacy.
13th August – Full Day in Amboseli: Early morning game drive, searching for the earlier missed action and later followed by a late breakfast with the Masai Elders. Here you will have a chance to learn more of the Masai Culture as one of the only Kenyan tribes that is still holding onto their cultural traditions. You will get the chance to see their way of life and experience culture at its best. Experience the Masai country and learn about local traditions and culture. Learn about Africa’s wildlife through the eyes of the people who protect them. This is a unique trip different from traditional safari trips to Africa. We want to give you a trip of a lifetime that you’ll remember for many years to come. Our journey will take you into majestic locations, exceptional encounters with wildlife and local people, a flexible schedule, excellent accommodations throughout.
14th August – Depart for Tanzania: Early morning game drive, searching for the earlier missed action and later followed by a late breakfast with the Masai Elders. After breakfast, depart for Arusha in Tanzania. You will go through Namanga Kenya/Tanzania boarder, our driver will help you with immigrations and later hand you over to our Tanzanian Serena lodges representative who will lead you into obtaining your Tanzanian VISA and later depart for Arusha Serena mountain village. Arrive at the lodge in time for Lunch and the rest of the afternoon at leisure with a short visit to Moshi at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return in good time for your evening tea, dinner and overnight at Serena Village.
15th August – Depart for Lake Manyara: Early morning breakfast and time at leisure and later depart for Lake Manyara arriving in time for Lunch. Explore Lake Manyara National Park which covers an area of only 318 sq km. It’s terrain is so diverse that its mammal and bird lists are most impressive. The park includes much of Lake Manyara, some 60km (38miles) long as well as the Rift valley escarpment. The park is well known for its tree climbing lions which can be found lazing on branches of the acacia trees. In addition there are good numbers of elephants, big herd of buffalo and plenty of leopards. The lake is a favorite place for pink flamingoes and wading birds in general. This area is home to the Masai people whom you will see as you pass through the villages. You will also have a chance to take the evening nature walk while at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena lodge.
16th August – Depart for Ngoro Ngoro Crater: Early morning game drive, followed by breakfast and departure for Ngoro ngoro Serena Lodge with game drives enroute arriving in time for lunch. Evening game drive after lunch and later returning in good time for dinner and overnight.
17th August – Full day at the Crater: Early morning breakfast and departure for the crater with game drive enroute, where you descend 2000 ft for a fascinating game drive on the crater floor. In a landscape reminiscent of the volcanic upheavals of the Rift Valley, the world’s largest unbroken unflooded volcanic caldera(collapsed cone of Volcano) covers 300 sq km. In this restricted space, exceptional climatic conditions have favoured an explosion of animal life. Some 20,000 great mammals are permanently in residence, as there is permanent water springs here there is no need to migrate. Picnic lunch will be served. Enjoy game viewing at the crater until late in the afternoon when you ascend back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
18th August – Depart for Arusha: After breakfast, mornings spent at leisure relaxing in the opulence of your Lodge and late depart for Arusha, arriving in good time to catch your flight to Zanzibar marking the beginning of a great experience at one of the best resorts. On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to your resort. Dinner and overnight at the resort.
