The Grand Palace adjoins Wat Phra Kaew in a common compound and is where you will end up after exiting Wat Phra Kaew.  Despite the proximity of the two, there is a distinct contrast in style between Thai Wat Phra Kaew and the more European-inspired designs of the Grand Palace.

Next, we will visit Wat Po, the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok, this is where we will see the largest single Buddha image; the Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaiyas). This temple is also known as the birthplace of Thai traditional massage. After your included lunch, we will visit Wat Arun, better known as the Temple of the Dawn, and is one of the best-known landmarks in Bangkok.

We will continue on a local public express boat to Ratchawong pier, and then transfer to Yaowarat Road where we will visit an interesting shop selling bird’s nests and shark fins.  We will continue to a very old tea shop to enjoy a cup of Chinese tea with the locals before heading down Trok Leng Moi EIA (a small alley) to visit Talad Kao which is an interesting local market with a variety of fresh foods, fresh and dry fruits, Chinese herbs, and groceries.
