You will also visit Mykonos one of the most famous Greek islands, known for its cosmopolitan atmosphere and stylish nightlife. Santorini is an incredibly beautiful island most famous for its unique blue domes and viewpoints. People from all around the world travel to Santorini to admire the beauty of the island. It’s also famous for its delicious food, wineries, and history. A trip to Santorini would not be complete without a visit to the village of Oia for its magical sunsets and a trip to Kamari Beach to see the black sand beach.

Day 1 - Depart USA 


Day 2 - Arrive Athens and transfer to hotel.  


Athens by Night Tour & Greek Dance Show – 3.5 hours 


Welcome to Athens! This evening start your night by viewing Athens landmarks after dark. Hop inside your luxury air-conditioned coach with your guide and enjoy a unique panoramic ride around the main sights of Athens. Then, head for a delicious Greek meal at a traditional restaurant in the heart of Plaka old district.

The tour starts with a visit to the main Greek port of Piraeus, passing by the most important attractions of the city (City Hall, picturesque yacht's harbor of Microlimano etc). Following the principal avenues and passing by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, National Garden, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament you will arrive at Plaka. Take a short, pleasant walk through the old unique Athens city to one of the popular taverns for dinner with live bouzouki music and Greek folk dances. Tap your feet to the tunes and join in the dancing. Your tour then ends with a drop-off at your Athens central hotel.

Best of Athens, Acropolis , Ancient Agora

Day 3 - Best of Athens, Acropolis & Ancient Agora Walking Tour – 4.5 hours 


Join this small-group walking tour for a scenic, see-it-all stroll around this vibrant Athenian city.  You will take a journey throughout ancient and modern Athens. Discover the Acropolis, the old city highlights, and Ancient Agora with a local and knowledgeable guide.


After you arrive at our ticket office, your tour kicks off with the sacred Acropolis Hill. With a professional tour guide by your side, you will learn everything about the monumental buildings of the Acropolis, including the godly Parthenon, the Temple of Nike and the Erechtheion. Descending the Acropolis Hill, you will explore the emblematic buildings of Athens' neoclassical architecture by walking through Plaka, the picturesque "island-like" neighborhood, where the first builders of ancient Athens are located.


After a revealing walk through the old city, you will continue and reach the Ancient Agora site. Your expert guide will introduce you to the chain of events that made democracy possible in ancient Athens. You will learn about Solon, whose legal reforms paved the way for forming the earliest civil society in world history and many other ancient truths. As you continue your walk, you will visit the Museum of the Agora, where you will receive information about the exhibits found in this museum.  

At the end of your tour, you will have seen the best of Athens on a tour that encompasses the city's most essential elements: history, architecture, and the locals' everyday life

Shopping at Monastiraki Square 


This evening why not go shopping in the lively Monastiraki Square, where vendors hawk everything from hand-carved statues to custom-made dresses, and the smell of roasting meat wafts through the air. Visit the popular Syntagma Square to witness the changing of the guard, or stroll through the quaint streets of Plaka for a true Greek experience.  


Day 4 -  Transfer from Athens hotel to Piraeus port for ferry to Mykonos


Transfer from Mykonos port to the hotel – remainder of day at leisure or take an optional tour.

Day 5 - Tour and Wine Tasting in Mykonian Land


You will explore the local winery and see where the Greek wine comes from.  You will have time to relax and enjoy the wine on your own.  The tour takes 2 hours, it will guide you through the olive grove and then it will bring you to the vineyards. Here you get to see exactly how wine is made and you get to enjoy and cherish it in a way that’s very different and lots of fun.  It’s nice to visit historical locations and view activities that people have been doing for millennia with little to no changes. It’s exciting and a great way to gain an insight into the old days. Once that is done, you will go outside and socialize with the group, enjoy tasty Mykonian appetizers and listen to traditional music.



Day 6 - Off Road Jeep Safari from Mykonos – 8 hours 


See the hidden corners of the island of Mykonos many of them inaccessible unless by jeep. Enjoy breathtaking views, rural areas, beautiful beaches, and the unique feeling of driving in a jeep!  


Our tour takes you first along the coast to Choulakia beach and from there up to the light house. From there we drive through the area of Marathi past the dam and Panormos beach to the bay of Agios Sostis. Then you drive to the area of Ano Mera where you have a stop at Paleokastro, the ruins of a Venetian Castle. We explore the area around Ano Mera with its agriculture and the nearby old abandoned mine. Lunch stop in a picturesque place.

Then we continue along the south coast and drive past Kalafatis and Kalo Livadi through the green area of Halara. Our next stop is at Agrari Beach where we have time for a coffee and a swim.


Day 7 - Transfer from Mykonos to Santorini


Cooking Class & Wine Tasting in Santorini Small Group Tour – 6 hours


Discover all the flavors of Santorini, visit 2 premier boutique wineries, and savor all the renowned wine styles including the legendary sweet delight, Vinsanto. Learn how to cook like a Greek, with a Greek cooking class in a traditional restaurant and savor the fruits of your labor!


Treat yourself to a fun & informative wine tour in Santorini followed by a culinary feast of local Santorini tastes and Greek delights. The day starts with a visit to a charming vineyard learning about the unique viticulture that makes Santorini’s vine-growing respected worldwide for its distinctive means of production. Hear about the wine and the island’s characteristic volcanic soil — known as aspa — that helps produce wine with abundant mineral flavors and light notes. During the tour you will visit two traditional Santorini wineries and taste the island’s signature types of wine such as Assyrtiko, Nykteri and Vinsanto. Then chat with your guide about the island’s cuisine and help a local chef prepare a feast of three Santorini signature dishes at a traditional restaurant. When your food is ready, sit down to eat. Savor all the fruits of your labor at the end of the cooking lesson and help yourself to wine to complement your creations. Finish with a glass of Vinsanto and a local dessert to end your meal in the Santorini way.

Day 8 -  Santorini Traditional Bus Day Tour - 10 hours 


Today you will explore the magical island of Santorini. Learn about the history of the island, admire the architecture of its traditional villages, relax on its volcanic beaches, and take in Oia’s sunset experience!


Start your journey exploring Emporio village, one of the oldest and most authentic traditional villages of Santorini, built like a small labyrinth and visit its medieval fortress (15th century).


Continue with a guided tour of Akrotiri excavation site buried and preserved by the volcanic ash of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in human history (17th century BC). Enjoy free time at Perissa beach, feast on a delicious lunch and relax at one of the longest black sandy beaches in the Cyclades and the most popular beach of Santorini.


Continue with a wine tasting of Santorini’s distinctive wines at a traditional winery. Learn about one of the oldest vineyards in Europe while admiring the spectacular view of the volcano.


After your visit at the winery, make a short stop at the Profitis Ilias Mountain, the highest peak of Santorini, to admire the striking panoramic view of the entire island. The trip ends up at the popular village of Oia where you will have free time to admire the spectacular colorful sunset.


Day 9 - Sailing Catamaran Small Group Tour in the Caldera – 5 hours 


Today you will have a luxury sailing experience on Santorini's most luxurious and well-equipped yacht. Sailing in luxury and style, get the chance to swim and snorkel at the crystal deep blue water of Santorini and visit the most amazing sights of Santorini like the Hot Springs, Red & White Beaches.


The tour begins sailing close to caldera cliffs beneath Oia and Fira Town and past the volcano. First stop is at the hot springs for an unforgettable mud bath. Continue sailing past to Aspronisi, Ancient light house, Akrotiri and the Indian Rock. Second stop is at the White Beach for swimming and snorkeling. A delicious Greek barbecue will be served on board with local wine as well as drinks. Your last stop is at the famous Red Beach for snorkeling and photo shooting. This amazing cruise ends in Vlychada Bay where your transportation will be waiting for you.


Departure to USA

Day 10 - departure to the USA


Today your journey ends.  You will be transferred from your hotel to the Santorini Airport for departure to the USA according to your flight schedule.

  • Visa Requirements

    US citizens must have a valid passport with six ( 6) months of validity after the planned date of departure.  A visa is not required for travel to Greece  

      

  • Travel Insurance

    Travel insurance is highly recommended. An insurance quote will be provided once your registration form and deposit are received. 

  • Airfare

    Airfare from Washington Dulles (IAD)

    Approximately $1000 - $1500 per person and will be added when available. 


    Airfare will be confirmed when it becomes available.  


    Airfare can be provided from any city.  


  • Deposit, Policies, & Payment Plans

    Deposit of $300 due upon booking to confirm airfare and hotels. 50% of the trip must be paid by  January 15, 2021.


    Balance due:  July 1, 2021.   Rates based on 10 persons travelling.  


    Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Deposits can be made in any amounts as long as balance is paid on time.  

    Suggested payment schedule: $500 per month. Insurance quote will be provided once registration form is received.
